Summary
What does this car say about you?
That I have finally settled on a car that I will keep for a good three years!
What do your friends / family / neighbours think of the car?
They think it's awesome. I would agree with that.
Would you buy this car again and why?
I would look for the same but with an even nippier engine (come on Seat.. up that TDI to 200bhp factory). It's a great car and has been super reliable. Performance is magic.
What are you likely to buy next?
Probably the 2009 Leon!

Buying experience
Type of dealer you bought from?
Franchise
Did you buy this car new?
No
What price did you pay?
£16,000
When did you buy the car?
April 2007
Did you get a good deal and why?
I got a fantastic deal. The dealer parted with their ex-demo with 2000 miles on the clock knocking £3000 off the OTR price. Mine is fully loaded: Auto lights, wipers, dimming rear mirror Bluetooth connectivity IPOD connection 18" wheels HID lights
Is there any special reason why you bought this car?
Looks, reputed reliability, excellent specification for low money, insurance group reasonable, performance, diesel savings
What was the dealer like?
Brilliant. A world apart from any dealer I have dealt with. No pressure sales at all. Dealer allowed to have the vehicle for a days test drive as well. Got a chance to really feel the vehicle. Got more than expected trade-in on my problematic Ford Focus Titanium (terrible terrible car). Fantastic dealer experience. I will be recommending them!

Driving it
What's it like to drive?
I cannot stop grinning. It is awesome on the road. It is a little noisier than the Focus (but thats low profile 18" tyres for you and I mean only a tiny bit louder than the Focus). The ride is harsher than the Focus but smoother than the Fiesta before it. It's performance is staggering. Use 1st to roll, change to 2nd quickly and boot it. You will leave 95% of all cars dissapearing rapidly in your rear view mirror. So smooth and well implemented cruise control.
What's it like to park?
Like most modern styled cars, rear visibility could be better. Useful feature is that you can quickly flip the mirrors down from one button to see the pavement better. Auto folding mirrors on remote locking is a nice feature too.

Living with it
Have you had any problems with the car?
Nothing at all. Well screwed/bolted together and being ex-demo has been lovingly cared for.
What's most practical about your car?
Cruise control, diesel economy, bluetooth connectivity.
Favourite gadget, option or accessory?
Bluetooth is so well implemented. I get in the car, turn on bluetooth on phone. Car sees phone within seconds. I can then use the steering mounted controls to scroll through the phone book in my phone and dial a number. Also silences stereo during a call.
