Summary
What does this car say about you?
probably that I enjoy driving and wanted a fun car. I'm 27 and that's exactly what I want. It's a car that does everyhing - be it trips to IKEA or a weekend camping - it'll be with you every step of the way...Oh and when you want to have a bit of fun...it's one step ahead - great on the traffic light grand prix too...
What do your friends / family / neighbours think of the car?
love it, think it's more me than the Jag and are amazed how quick it is. Styling is great and looks good from all angles.
Would you buy this car again and why?
I think i would go for the Cupra R...I had a leon a few years back...and it's the only model I've ever owned twice (was a more basic one before!), which for me to do that shows it is a great car.
What are you likely to buy next?
Maybe a more powerful Leon although I still like Jags and may have an XF if I can stretch to it...but at the moment I'm enjoying this one too much

Buying experience
Type of dealer you bought from?
Franchise
Did you buy this car new?
No
What price did you pay?
£12,000
When did you buy the car?
January 2011
Did you get a good deal and why?
Bought from Piccadilly Fiat who couldn't have helped more. Bought my girlfriend a fiat 500 from them and they got the Leon in as a trade in. Did me a great deal because I'd bought from them...Got £1500 more in trade in than others had offered.
Is there any special reason why you bought this car?
Had a boring saloon and wanted something with a bit more go. Loved my old car (X-Type Jag) but didn't like the servicing costs and the image. Was a great motorway mile cruncher but not much cop when you showed it a bendy b road. Leon ticked all the boxes in that it's fun to drive and cheap to run...and fast!
What was the dealer like?
Brilliant - David the salesman was helpful and would do a deal with you, rather than asking someone's permission. Old school car dealer who knew the product inside out but most importantly remembered who was the customer and pulled out all the stops.

Driving it
What's it like to drive?
Epic - a real pocket rocket, the ride is a little harsh but it's a small price to pay for the positive steering, direct handling and plenty of turbo punch in every gear. It's turned me into a boy racer again and I look for reaons to go out in it. It makes every trip out fun and makes me smile :) BUT is settled and quiet on the motorway and will happly do 50mpg + I do a lot of driving with work and it's as good on long trips as my Jag was.
What's it like to park?
not as easy as my Jag but that had front and rear parking aids...but has hatch backs go not too difficult.

Living with it
Have you had any problems with the car?
nothing although only had it a week
What's most practical about your car?
the boot...both my dogs fit!
Favourite gadget, option or accessory?
the limited edtion (FR550) seats are brilliant as is the sound system and the boy racer alloys...although the best bit about this car is the engine - it feels faster than my old Civic Type R - it just GOES!
