Economy
Value
Climate control, 4 electric windows, electric folding mirrors. most of these are optional extras on most other makes.
Costs
Average MPG but does drink a bit when pushed hard, but what car doesn't. Servicing costs can be high but its best to shop around as different dealers have different rates.

On the road
Driving
Handles well on A and B roads corners like its on rails but you need to get the right tyres fitted. can be used as ordinary family car or to blast the country roads with a big grin on your face.
Performance
Very quick from start and through the gears but could do with a sixth gear for motorway speeds. Its amazing what you can get from a naturally aspirated 1.8 engine.

Living with it
Reliability
No major problems as yet apart from slight hesitation when pulling away and changing gear.
Image
A wolf in sheep's clothing, looks like any old family hatchback with hidden twin exhausts and no big spoilers. Looks sportier than the Golf especially in Red.
Comfort
Lots of adjustment on steering wheel and seats means you can find the right driving position no matter how tall you are.

Security and Service
Security
Never been tested, but could do with an alarm.
Service
Never used dealer as yet.
