Summary
What does this car say about you?
More style than a Golf owner. The car is far better looking. I guess it also says "cheaper" too. Could have gone for the Golf, but it does not look or handle as well.
What do your friends / family / neighbours think of the car?
They love it. Especially looks, and the incredible surge of the turbo.
Would you buy this car again and why?
Possibly. Great looking, very powerful, not bad equipment and frugal. Heard some horror stories about Cam lobes going and repair bills of £1000+. Right VW spec oil HAS to be used in this, or else.
What are you likely to buy next?
Possibly a Subaru again. Despite the VAG reliabillity, Subaru wipe the floor with them, it NEVER went wrong. Could drive it under water to France and back. Pity they use so much petrol.

Driving it
What's it like to drive?
Good. Holds road well, firm suspension. Not great feedback from steering and no match for my old car, subaru impreza on the corners.
What's it like to park?
Not great visibillity, small mirrors. Looks very attractive however, but that's not going to help in this regard.

Living with it

Economy, 52MPG on a normal run.
Favourite gadget, option or accessory?
THe rather loud but very effective turbocharger.
