Summary
What does this car say about you?
I can't afford a Golf.
What do your friends / family / neighbours think of the car?
I'm a standing joke with cars breaking down so they weren't surprised this went to the garage several times. Personal curse aside, many commented on its good looks and wanted to know more about it.
Would you buy this car again and why?
No. paying out so much in repairs in such a short time given its low mileage was pretty poor. I bought it miles away and only had a two month warranty hence the trips to Seat.
What are you likely to buy next?
Volvo s40 d5?

£8,000

Yes, only 29000 on the clock and was given £1000 for an old car that really wasn't worth that much.
Is there any special reason why you bought this car?
No
What was the dealer like?
Good. They wouldn't budge on the price but the part ex gain made up for that.

Driving it
What's it like to drive?
In retrospect I wish I,d bought the six speed 2.0 as it isn't very punchy with only 105 bhp. That said its a nice enough drive. It isn't noisy and corners reasonably well.
What's it like to park?
Fine.

Living with it
Have you had any problems with the car?
Yes. The sensors on the accelerater pedal have failed twice. The car goes into limp mode when this happens. It cost me £250 or so a go at seat on two occasions. The third time in 18 months was the last straw. This time seat paid the £400 of sensor work as the company have acknowledged it is a common complaint. Also, of all things the horn broke.?! Apparently, it's low own under the bonnet and they take on water in this position making them faulty.
What's most practical about your car?
The boot is pretty big.
Favourite gadget, option or accessory?
For a 56 plate car a factory fitted aux in port for an iPod was very welcome.
