Summary
What does this car say about you?
I like value for money and comfort.
What do your friends / family / neighbours think of the car?
Don't really know but it looks good and I think they like it. One passenger also commented about the hardness of the seats.
Would you buy this car again and why?
Possibly, but it would take some improvements in the seating and fuel economy for me to do so. It only does 46 mpg at constant 70 and not been able to get more than 50mpg under any situations and I am a very economy conscious driver using all the tricks.
What are you likely to buy next?
Don't know yet but my wife's Yaris Hybrid beats the Leon in most ways except on size and motorway cruising ability so I might look at Toyota Auris Hybrid or even Nissan Leaf if rumoured range increase occurs.

Buying experience
Type of dealer you bought from?
Franchised
Did you buy this car new?
Yes
What price did you pay?
£18,000
When did you buy the car?
March 2015
Did you get a good deal and why?
I would say good as PX was good but actual price probably £1000 more than Drive the Deal or Broadspeed.
Is there any special reason why you bought this car?
Wanted a quiet, comfortable automatic hatchback in this size range.
What was the dealer like?
Very good, worth paying a bit more for.

Driving it
What's it like to drive?
Very quiet engine and road noise wise compared to my previous Octavia 1.6 diesel. Effortless to drive but DSG box can be slightly hesitant (not had auto before). Seats are bit on firm side and could do with extra inch or so thigh support.
What's it like to park?
Easy enough.

Living with it
Have you had any problems with the car?
No.
What's most practical about your car?
Boot is reasonable size but big step down from previous Octavia.
Favourite gadget, option or accessory?
Bluetooth phone, Sat Nav, DAB radio.
