SEAT Leon Hatchback (2013 - 2020) FR 1.5 TSI Evo 150PS (07/2018 on) 5d Owner Review

I bought this petrol seat 1.5 TSI FR after previously having a Mondeo diesel. On my 50 mile round committee I was getting 55 mpg from the Mondeo with careful driving. I decided to get a petrol after diesels were starting to get bad press etc. After careful research I went for the FR that seemed to have a good balance of economy and performance. With claimed mpg of 57 I was happy. The Mondeo only claimed to give 50 and I was being that. Since having the Seat, the car itself is very good indeed, fine quality feel and drive. The ride is a little firm but I expected that. I am however very disappointed in the mpg. Even in eco mode and driving very very carefully I am only able to get 48 at best. Driving in this mode though is not nice. No throttle response, no engine life, no nothing. This is with the DSG box too. As a result you need to drive in normal mode. If you do you won't get the mpg over 44 with my average around 41. As a result I feel I've been misled and I'm not happy at all.
