SEAT Leon Hatchback 1.5 TSI EVO 150 FR Sport 5d Owner Review
Want to know everything there is to know about this car?
In their own words
This car is brilliant, once it gets moving
The infotainment system which controls absolutely everything seems to be made of chocolate, it’s basically a cheap tablet bolted to the dash, it crashes it stalls it takes forever to do most things then it changes its driving mode at random, the old Leon was a better place to sit.
The safety systems are horrendous to live with, if you jump in the car and pull away without first turning off the lane assist YOU WILL KILL YOURSELF OR A CYCLIST, it even states in the handbook that the lane assist will not perform properly in adverse weather or anywhere with roadworks… so that would be the entirety of the UK then, the anti crash warning screams when it sees a curved kerb and the cruise control only works in increments of 5.
The good points
Which is why I bought this car with this particular engine, it’s seriously fun to drive the steering in sport mode is by far best in class, the 150hp engine is nippy and good for 140mph all the while giving you good mileage for a petrol, it’s a looker and it even illuminates the floor outside the car with “HOLA” before you get in, scrolling indicators are also premium, the build quality feels strong and solid.
So to sum up don’t buy one but don’t be disappointed to see one pull up as your next hire car.
