Economy
Value
More toys than you could want for under £15k.
Costs
55mpg? Need I say more? Insurance is cheap, too.

On the road
Driving
A real pleasure, well built, solid and sure-footed.
Performance
The powerful 130 engine in a car of this size is pure joy. Just watch the traction control light flicker away as you give the gas pedal some weight. Great fun and very fast.

Living with it
Reliability
Too new to comment - my old 110 TDi was faultless, though, over 3 years.
Image
Still a slight chip on the shoulder from the bad old days before VW.
Comfort
Slightly cramped if over 6 footers get in, best keep smaller friends if you all want to travel together. On the flip side of this, the boot is HUGE! Shove them in there! (only kidding).
-
Security and Service
Security
Double deadlocks and Thatcham Cat 1 alarm and immobiliser as standard.
Service
Seat dealer always very helpful, but never really had any problems anyway.
