Summary
What does this car say about you?
I suppose that we like something sporty and practical at the same time.
What do your friends / family / neighbours think of the car?
Everyone loves it. I think you only have to look at the secondhand values for a tdi150 to see that they're well sought after.
Would you buy this car again and why?
Yes, definitely. Just the most bang for the least buck we've ever managed to find.
What are you likely to buy next?
Quick, frugal, reliable, well built, comfortable and ours was cheap. Can't ask for more really.

Franchise
Did you buy this car new?
No
What price did you pay?
£10,300
When did you buy the car?
October 2005
Did you get a good deal and why?
End of line model- new Toledo had just come out so we got a bargain. Also the fact that hardly anyone even thinks about the Toledo as an option meant it was really cheap.
Is there any special reason why you bought this car?
Way, way cheaper than the Leon equivalent, for exactly the same performance and more luggage space.
What was the dealer like?
Ok, we had to play hard ball to get a really good price, but they were fair and serviced the car and valeted it for us.

Driving it
What's it like to drive?
Stunning. It will spin the wheels easily in second even in the dry. It's very, very quick. Handling is assured without being too firm. Very comfortable seats also. Wish it had cruise control, but it can be fitted for £200 odd quid.
What's it like to park?
Ok. Being a foot longer than the Leon it has a slight disadvantage, but nothing to write home about.

Living with it
Have you had any problems with the car?
Slight hesiation when flooring it- found to be the return and main fuel pipes from the tank were on the wrong way round thus restricting fuel supply. After they were changed over it was perfect. Otherwise it hasn't missed a beat.
What's most practical about your car?
Huge boot, at the slight expense of rear legroom. Suspect they might have done better to take 3 inches off boot space and give it to rear passengers. MPG is stunning- we got an average of 54 on a gentle weeks holiday in Wales. Everydsay, combined figure a
Favourite gadget, option or accessory?
Climate control. Very efficient.
