Buying experience
Type of dealer you bought from?
Franchised
Did you buy this car new?
Yes
What price did you pay?
£10,580
When did you buy the car?
June 2013
Did you get a good deal and why?
Not especially, these cars are so good, Skoda don't need to discount them. Got some posh floor mats thrown in, and some nice little door sill plates with Citigo on, but thats it. Got free servicing as well.
Is there any special reason why you bought this car?
Replaced an old but trusty Nissan Micra which I used for running around in. I drive a Mercedes C350 company car and the Citigo is used for short runs, commuting to my office, and shopping.
What was the dealer like?
Good, better than Mercedes which supply my main car. Like most dealers, they fuss over you until you make a purchase, then they aren't interested. To be fair, Skoda did call me a few weeks after purchase and asked me if I was happy with the car, which is a nice touch. Mercedes never did that.

Driving it
What's it like to drive?
Fantastic to drive, Feels like a golf. Ironically, its at its best on the motorway and is definitely quieter at 80 than my new(ish) Mercedes C350 Sport, quite an achievement for a tiny car. I've left two tomato grow bags in the boot beneath the false boot floor. Seems to ride even better with a bit of weight in the back. There isn't a lot of power available but once up to speed, it easily keeps up with everything, and because it is so refined, it's perfectly happy cruising along at 70 / 80. Seats are very comfortable, and I have done many long journeys perfectly comfortably.
What's it like to park?
Easy, its tiny on the outside. Parking sensors make it fool proof, but all round visibility is excellent anyway.

Living with it
Have you had any problems with the car?
Nothing at all, and it doesn't feel will it will do either.
What's most practical about your car?
Small on the outside, big on the inside, it really does feel very grown up to sit in and drive, almost "Golf" like. Boot is bigger than it looks, and will easily fit four big bags of shopping in. With the seats folded down, I was amazed to get a huge load of IKEA stuff in it.
Favourite gadget, option or accessory?
Specified a sunroof which is expensive, but very nice in the summer. The sat nav thing is very good indeed. I ordered the stereo speaker upgrade, cruise control, and parking sensors, all of which work very well. Standard heated seats are as always a fantastic feature. Use them every day in the winter to avoid letting the car get hot and stuffy.
