Skoda Enyaq interior, tech and comfort

- Controls and instruments handled by two screens
- A few shortcut buttons
- Good interior quality
How is the quality and layout?
The design is conservative, and the layout reasonably simple, as long as you’re comfortable operating the touchscreen. As well as that, the trims and materials are first rate and this really does feel more premium than the closely-related Volkswagen ID.4. The only real disappointment is the hard plastic interior door pulls, a small thing you’re reminded of regularly.
The speedometer and other vital functions are displayed on a small screen embedded in the dashboard. This offers limited display options with most rivals now coming with larger displays that show far more information. There are only a few physical buttons and none of them directly control the heater. A Renault Scenic has a better blend of touch and physical controls.
But overall, it’s a very usable and friendly interior that’s plush, well-trimmed and comfortable.

Infotainment and tech
The Enyaq uses a version of Volkswagen’s often glitch-prone infotainment system albeit with a Skoda skin. While it’ll be familiar to those stepping out of a Kodiaq or Superb, for instance, we’d recommend getting to know the 13.0-inch touchscreen’s menus whilst stationary and set up a few favourite icons.
It works well with Apple Car Play and Android Auto, offering wireless connectivity for both, which makes connecting to and using your smartphone a piece of cake. It’s probably the best aspect of the Enyaq iV’s set-up. However, you may prefer to use the built-in navigation as it includes estimated charge at the end of the journey and optimised charging stops en-route.
The 2025 update adds a configurable favourites bar at the top of the touchscreen. You can assign various functions to these, including a shortcut to turn off the various driver aids. The icons are a bit small, but hooking your fingers behind the screen and using your thumb to jab makes them easy to pinpoint on the move.

Comfort
- Exceptionally quiet
- Comfortable seats
- Heated front seats and steering wheel standard
We like the driving position, which is commanding, and all the Enyaqs we’ve driven so far offer great seat support, especially the alcantara-trimmed Sportline models. We had no aches and pains on our long test route during the launch of the facelift model. Our experience running pre-facelift models for six-months suggests you won’t get any long-term trouble, either.
The standard seats are no less comfortable but don’t hold you in place as well during keen cornering. Alongside the rest of the cabin, they are offered in an appealing range of trims depending on your tastes. The optional leather upholstery feels thick but soft, and includes ventilation for the front seats. Heated front seats and a heated steering wheel are standard.
The Enyaq is exceptionally refined on the move, with exceedingly low levels of wind, road, and tyre noise. It’s an SUV you and your passengers will be happy to cover big distances in.
