Summary
What does this car say about you?
That I like nice cars but that I don't want to pay the inflated badge price that goes with a VW or Audi.
What do your friends / family / neighbours think of the car?
They think it looks really smart and tidy.
Would you buy this car again and why?
Probably not, simply because I would go for something faster.
What are you likely to buy next?
This car is being sold to my Dad and i'm in the process of getting something new. Thinking maybe Fabia vRS, maybe Seat Leon FR, maybe Golf GT. Not decided at this point.

Buying experience
Type of dealer you bought from?
Franchise
Did you buy this car new?
Yes
What price did you pay?
£15,000
When did you buy the car?
July 2005
Did you get a good deal and why?
Looking back now, no. I wouldn't buy new again because there's such a huge depreciation as soon as you take it off the forecourt.
Is there any special reason why you bought this car?
Voted car of the year, looking for something smart and spacious but economical at the same time.
What was the dealer like?
Very helpful. Can't fault them at all, they're more than happy to help with any problems.

Driving it
What's it like to drive?
Typical Diesel really. Plenty of punch, but it's all so quick, and then over. Having driven other petrols since I probably might have considered one more looking back. But take nothing away from the 1.9TDI engine, it's certainly more than powerful enough.
What's it like to park?
A dream. Parking sensors make it a doddle.
-
Living with it
Have you had any problems with the car?
Nothing beyond wear and tear - tyres, bulbs, etc.
What's most practical about your car?
The way you can get five in it comfortably and still loads in the boot.
Favourite gadget, option or accessory?
Air Con. When I move to a car without it, it now puts me in a bad mood.
