That i couldn't get my hands on a VW Golf.
What do your friends / family / neighbours think of the car?
Smart and practical, but that the 2.0 petrol engine was a bad idea.

No. The 2.0 litre petrol lacks the power it should have and its very uneconomical in town, had around 10 miles to the gallon while driving around London.
What are you likely to buy next?
Golf or Passat, preferably a turbo diesel.

Cruises easily on the motorway, enough power to pull out quickly. Soft suspension makes it less enjoyable to drive on country roads. The small wheels mean you feel potholes too.

Easy, you can see all corners of the car.
