Not sure, probably that I'm frugal.
What do your friends / family / neighbours think of the car?
They love it. They can't believe how comfy it is and the space you get. You can feel the Volkswagen pedigree.
Would you buy this car again and why?
Yes, although I would get a TDi next time.

Nothing for a few years.

Did you get a good deal and why?
Not too bad a deal, pretty much the correct price. £150 knocked off for not having a trade in, and a years M.O.T.

My first car.
What was the dealer like?
Friendly, keen to make a sale. Answered my questions to the best of his knowledge.

Driving it
What's it like to drive?
Pretty nippy up to 40mph, then getting to 60 can take a while, but once it is up there it is easy to maintain a cruising speed. Also the engine is incredibly low revving, yet to get it above 2500.
What's it like to park?
Easy, big rear windscreen. Wing mirrors give good visibility down the sides. I also fitted reverse parking sensors to help me out.

Living with it
Have you had any problems with the car?
Reverse lights worked intermitantly, located the switch (put the car on ramps and removed the pan beneath the engine and it is just along from the starter motor) and the wires had broken. Replaced the switch and wires (used Eurocarparts to get the switch).
What's most practical about your car?
Fuel economy, averages 64mpg. Also big boot and rather spacious for a hatchback. The view is great nearly no blind spots. For first time drivers the insurance group being group 3 is a major selling point.
Favourite gadget, option or accessory?
Air con, sadly no ABS on my model.
