Summary
What does this car say about you?
it's a bit different from the crowd which is nice, but it's not exactly a Veyron. Said I was buying a car with my head not my heart.
What do your friends / family / neighbours think of the car?
Fairly indifferent.
Would you buy this car again and why?
no, it's been a major disappointment. What I liked about the old model Fabia was how well screwed together it all felt but this one just feels tacky. So many squeaks and rattles, dodgy brakes, uninvolving to drive and a very noisy enging that revvs and revvs but doesn't ever really acheive anything.
What are you likely to buy next?
Ford Focus 1.6 (115bhp) Zetec.

Buying experience
Type of dealer you bought from?
Franchise
Did you buy this car new?
No
What price did you pay?
£5,200
When did you buy the car?
May 2010
Did you get a good deal and why?
For the age and mileage it was a very good deal - at least £1k less than an equivilent Clio or Corsa.
Is there any special reason why you bought this car?
family members had a Mk1 Fabia and had found it a very solid, reliable, problem-free car to own.
What was the dealer like?
a bit pushy, but helpful enough.

Driving it
What's it like to drive?
Unexciting. Easy to drive but no real 'feel' to it, the 12v 1.2 is just not really up to it, you have to rev it very hard to get any kind of speed going on a dual carriageway. 'Upgraded' from a 1.1 Fiat Panda but actually found that slightly nippier. A lot of squeaks and rattles set in very quickly too, which is annoying.
What's it like to park?
easy.

Living with it
Have you had any problems with the car?
the brakes were jerky from the start, dealer said it was just because it had been on the forecourt for a long time and it would sort itself out, but it never did.
What's most practical about your car?
Lots of space for the size, very easy to drive and park.
Favourite gadget, option or accessory?
mp3 connectivity was nice.
