Summary
What does this car say about you?
At first sight, just someone who drives a small car. When they've recovered from being left behind, they wonder what's under the bonnet. Must be the 1.9 at least. No. Just a 1.4 & a diesel at that.
What do your friends / family / neighbours think of the car?
They realise the true value the car is and, enjoy the look on the faces of those who try it on against us.
Would you buy this car again and why?
YES. Already have do so. A newer 1.6TDI version which just isnt as good.
What are you likely to buy next?
Another Fabia if amd only if Skoda (VW) can sort out the unsafe 1.6 TDI engines' issues.

Driving it
What's it like to drive?
Just so much fun. (See favorite gadget section) We now have a 60 reg Fabia 1.6TDI (105) . It leaves the new one behind every time and, the fuel consumption figures are so close. Just why did VW drop this engine?
What's it like to park?
The front corners are invisible so, its lights on time to get the reflections to help close up. Reverse parking is easy as the end is just behind the rear window.

Living with it
Have you had any problems with the car?
After 2 years use, there have been no issues with this car.
What's most practical about your car?
Its size and the available performance from the 1.4TDI is so infectious. As for the engine note: Wonderful. Get the engine up to 3100 / 3200 RPM and it has the same note as a 911. Dont believe me? Try it some time for yourself.
Favourite gadget, option or accessory?
The engine. Its Name is 'Little Nell' after the autogiro in James Bond. Those rude bigger cars dont know what hits them when Little Nell fights back. My workmate calls it The Spanish Inquision. Because No one expects The Spanish Inquision.
