Summary
What does this car say about you?
I think it says I am a bit more grown up than a Clio or a Corsa and appreciate a more solid German car, but at less of a price
What do your friends / family / neighbours think of the car?
Yes, they are divided on it's looks, mainly the cute face. However at times I think it looks quite agressive and sporty All passengers tell me it is comfortable and feels safe
Would you buy this car again and why?
I wouldn't buy the Fabia again, because I need to move up to a bigger car, but I would reccomend it to any couple or small family
What are you likely to buy next?
New (2008) Skoda Superb

Buying experience
Type of dealer you bought from?
Franchise
Did you buy this car new?
Yes
What price did you pay?
£12,990
When did you buy the car?
December 2007
Did you get a good deal and why?
I got a very good lease deal which has an interest of less than the bank rate, some cheaper models are avalaible at £99 a month
Is there any special reason why you bought this car?
Having had two previous Skoda's I got a good deal at the garage, and the car had appealed to me even before release
What was the dealer like?
Brilliant, from day one at the initial purchase and when going back for accessories and maintenance. First 10k service was just £99

Driving it
What's it like to drive?
Fast, Responsive and very economical. Happy to cruise quietly or battle it out in the 3rd lane. Good around corners, but not as tight as some other small cars. Big wheels and low profile tyres make it grip well, even if the handling isn't class leading
What's it like to park?
A Doddle to park, parking sensors also display on the stereo to tell you how close you are to things. Light steering, big wing mirrors all add up to an easy to drive and park car

Living with it
Have you had any problems with the car?
There have been some trim rattle issues, they have been rectified by the dealer. No other issues
What's most practical about your car?
Good boot space, havent had to fold the seats down yet, it's a big improvement on my previous Hyundai Getz. It also has a cool container to keep drinks bottles in the boot without rolling around, and two hooks for delicate grocery items
Favourite gadget, option or accessory?
Tiptronic Gearbox is the best, it's the only small car with a true 6 speed tiptronic gearbox, it's a proper torque converter gearbox rather than an automated manual, always fast and responsive and even intergrates with the ESP system to hold gears in corners e.t.c. All tiptronics come with Rear disk brakes, ESP and Tyre pressure monitoring which is over £400 worth of optional equipment on a non-tiptronic model, you only actually pay £200 and a bit for the gearbosx if you factor these options in
