Economy
Value
On the value front, my first Estelle was about £3k, £12K seemed a bit steep for a bargain brand with an image to live down to, but the spec sheet suggested otherwise. On reflection the best £12k I ever went into debt for!
Costs
Last wheels a 2.0 Diesel Astra, This baby was £3k cheaper 6 years younger, equal spec., the Insurance £15 cheaper, Tax £50 cheaper, and fuel consumption equal or better ( not got it below 45 mpg yet but trying quite hard at times) , a win win situation.

Driving
From the moment I picked it up, felt right at home in the driving seat, it just felt nice. Now having driven it for 6 months it does not feel like a new car, just an old friend that does what I expect and occasionally surprises, in a pleasant way.
Performance
Performance wise can't really grumble, best grin factor for a very long time, yes there are wheels out there that will catch you out, and nasties that want to take your picture, but used sensibly it is brilliant, just affordable squirt on demand.

Living with it
Reliability
Reliability good so far, but then it should be, even Skoda's so called jokes were good for well over 100k, never had a problem in the past don't really expect one for the foreseeable future, brand loyalty in a strange affectionate way.
Image
I can jest at being a sad misguided Skoda owner who really needs to be inebriated to own up to driving one, to people, only to see the look of admiration and envy when the actually see the car.
Comfort
Comfort wise, say no more, ride acceptable, room acceptable, creature comforts acceptable, seats and driving position adjustable to suit, who gives a proverbial about passengers in a car like this!

Security and Service
Security
Security, well I'm ashamed to say, I didn't even know it has an alarm, until I left the dogs in the car unattended and the alarm went off, then there is the badge that protects as well !!
Service
Car sold itself. Dealer just did the sums and came good.
