Economy
Value
fantastic, got air con, cruise, ABS, for £10.5 k, but heated seats a must as an option as engine takes an age to warm up. Gets 50 mpg everytime.
Costs
Reduced my fuel costs by half from BMW but driving it everywhere for fun! Fill the tank and do 70 miles before needle moves. Eats front tyres but worth it!!

On the road
Driving
Fantastic on motorways, A roads town and for blasting around. Car for all moods and people. Deceptively fast. Brilliant little Q car. Best car I've owned by far. Modern reincarnation of my Saab 900 for smile factor with fuel economy to boot.
Performance
Upgraded ecu, better mpg, performance incredible. Owned Honda legend coupe 3.2, Saab 900 turbo classic and BMW 530. This is way better, no joke. Acceleration on slip roads and overtaking phenomenal.

Living with it
Reliability
VW quality. After owning BMWs Honda and Saab, Skoda feels better built. Cruise control stalk, switchgear same as on Audi A6.
Image
Getting there. Now called furbys in some areas. Corsas and Saxos not taking them on anymore- shame!
Comfort
All adjustable seat, heated seats, unobtrusive powerful diesel unit, fantastic car to drive long distances. More a GT than hot hatch.

Security and Service
Security
Not tested, but cat 1 alarm and button to lock all doors in emergency.
Service
Very good extras, good px deal. Friendly and called often to see how it was going. Go to established Skoda dealers they really do care about what they are selling.
