Nothing. Cars are just cars, I don't go for the shallow image rubbish.

They like it, but have been surprised at the number of faults.
Would you buy this car again and why?
No. I like the car but my faith in Skoda build quality has been shaken.

A Mazda 6 estate or a Nissan Qashqai.

Driving it
What's it like to drive?
It drives like a much bigger car and is very a very good motorway cruiser. But the brake pedal has too much travel and the brakes are hard to gauge, the difference in force required between light braking and jamming on is very slight. It's also a bit nose heavy.
What's it like to park?
Very easy.

Living with it
Have you had any problems with the car?
Found out on first service that the ABS had never worked - no warning light. Rear doors leaked in the rain, a common fault that Skoda UK deny exists. Gearbox had to be rebuilt because of a terrible 2nd gear change, but it took a herculean effort to get Skoda UK interested. Numerous rattles from the trim. The interior trim marks very easily, particularly the glove box.
What's most practical about your car?
It's blend of economy and power. Makes for a very competent car, once all it's faults were fixed.
Favourite gadget, option or accessory?
Electronic Stability Program.
