It's a Skoda. Why do you want one of those?
Would you buy this car again and why?
No. The car is expensive to run when you factor in its high oil consumption. Build quality is not great as the interior is beginning to fall apart after less than 16000 miles. The dealers charge for investigating what I would deem to be warranty issues. Skoda uk's attitude is not good when it comes to dealing with faults.
What are you likely to buy next?
Subaru Impreza STI. Should never have gone away from Subaru.

Is there any special reason why you bought this car?
Seduced by the idea of a small capacity supercharged and turbo charged engine producing relatively high power.

Driving it
What's it like to drive?
Straight line acceleration is reasonably good except for putting power down from a standing start. Being used to rear and 4 wheel drive cars with manually controlled clutches, I find it difficult not to spin the front wheels if accelerating away hard, due in no small part to the DSG gearbox. Handling is ok but a bit wallowy when pushed.
What's it like to park?
It's a small hatchback with large areas of glass so very easy.

Living with it
Have you had any problems with the car?
High oil consumption. Intermittent exhaust monitor light. Driver seat stitching coming apart.
What's most practical about your car?
Five doors.
Favourite gadget, option or accessory?
Not really interested in pointless gadgets on cars.
