Skoda Felicia Hatchback 1.3 LXi 5d (1999/T) Owner Review
-
Economy
Value
Good for its class. There are cheaper cars these days, but I doubt they can compete on reliability and quality.
Costs
Not as economical as I expected, but still acceptable. (Around 35mpg urban, perhaps 40-45 mpg on motorways)
-
On the road
Driving
Effortless - good all-round vision, good ergonomics.
Performance
Not fantastic, ok-ish acceleration, fair cornering and braking. With four passengers and luggage it starts to struggle - but it gets there in the end.
-
Living with it
Reliability
Fabulous. No problems at all. I left it on the driveway unused for 6 months over winter. Come spring, the engine started first time.
Image
Who cares?
Comfort
Very good for short/ medium journeys (less than 100 Miles), but noisy at motorway speeds. Wouldn't want to do huge distances in it.

Security and Service
Security
physically poor, but then who would steal a 1300cc Skoda ?
Service
Don't know, never needed it ! Flew through its MOT at the local dealer (replaced one tyre and two windscreen blades after 12 months driving)
