Skoda Felicia Hatchback 1.6 GLXi 5d (D.Airbag) (1997/R) Owner Review
-
Economy
Value
Good value for what is it. Cheaper than a Polo.
Costs
Really cheap to run with 40mpg and servicing isn't too bad.
-
On the road
Driving
Noisy on the motorway.
Performance
Plenty of go in the 1.6 but the handling really goes to pot when you start to push it. You can feel the chassis flexing and wiggling beneath you. Saying that it would be fine for most people but I really thrashed it (don't tell the wife).

Living with it
Reliability
In 112,000 miles we only replaced a thermostat and a faulty vacuum hose.
Image
It has no image, unless you are over 60.
Comfort
Noisy at speed, can' get comfy with the driving position (I'm 6 foot 2). Not much space in the back.

Security and Service
Security
Central locking and that's it. Shouldn't be a target but someone put a brick though the window on ours.
Service
Really couldn't care less. Local dealer lost bits of the car and never kept us informed of what was happening. So annoyed with them that we won't be buying another Skoda as they would have to service it.
