Skoda Octavia Estate (1998 - 2005) 1.9 TDi Elegance 5d Owner Review

I always fancied getting an Octavia and, having just sold a Mercedes with issues, I am annoyed with myself that it took me so long to buy a Skoda - I wish I had bought one years ago! When I bought it the interior was absolutely filthy, having been used by a woman to take her dog (or dogs!?) around in. Despite all that, it cleaned up fairly well, smells fine now, is extremely comfortable to drive and has excellent fuel economy. I have had to have the back brakes done but that was fairly straightforward and parts were not terribly expensive. I am definitely going to stick with the brand - I will never go back to a Mercedes again!
