They're all shocked at the spec level. Those who own a VW or an Audi are even more shocked when they get in and find it's the same switch-gear inside too.
Would you buy this car again and why?
Yes. In fact my wife has now bought the L+K hatchback version.
What are you likely to buy next?
L+K version, only because it adds cruise control.

Did you get a good deal and why?
It had high mileage (140000). But, 1 owner & full Skoda service history from the dealer I got it from.
Is there any special reason why you bought this car?
Skoda give more equipement for less money than the same VW/Audi

Excellent.

Driving it
What's it like to drive?
Excellent. Handles equally well on M-ways and B roads. Could do with cruise control. Enough power to get out of trouble, or surprise other drivers.
What's it like to park?
Easy for an estate as there is a nice big rear window.

Living with it
Have you had any problems with the car?
Day after buying it, the car did not start! Dealers (Mitchell Skoda, at Chesire Oaks) bent over backwards to solve the problem, including giving me a brand new Octavia while it was sorted. So there was no extra cost at all for me.
What's most practical about your car?
Estate is so practical, as I transport our cycles around.
Favourite gadget, option or accessory?
Climate Control is a godsend... switch to auto at about 24-25C and forget about it. Center armrest makes a big difference on long M-way journeys.
