Summary
What does this car say about you?
Practical people who don't need logos.
What do your friends / family / neighbours think of the car?
Interested to know what we think as they had all thought of buying one but all gone for other brands and models.
Would you buy this car again and why?
NO. Based on the customer service post purchase I definitely would not buy this again. I would not even buy our car second hand if I saw all the rust on it after just a few months.
What are you likely to buy next?
Audi based on their customer service.

Buying experience
Type of dealer you bought from?
Independent
Did you buy this car new?
Yes
What price did you pay?
£17,000
When did you buy the car?
September 2012
Did you get a good deal and why?
The car was already on the VAT free offer so they wouldn't reduce further. I think we may have got £100 off.
Is there any special reason why you bought this car?
Size of boot.
What was the dealer like?
We went to a dealer in Basingstoke first. The process was so hideous and we were treated so strangely when we tried to buy it, we walked out and went straight to a dealer in Aldershot and bought the car there 2 hours later.

Driving it
What's it like to drive?
Nice to drive. Slow to start when you turn it on...surprising for a very new car.
What's it like to park?
We have sensors on the back which i love...until i recently hit a post. Maybe they're not so good...

Living with it
Have you had any problems with the car?
Within 3 months and less than a 1000 miles on the clock, our wheels rusted. Skoda in Aldershot say those parts aren't under warranty. They say the fact I haven't driven it much has caused the erosion??! I don't believe rusting on any car especially a brand new one is acceptable. But according to Skoda it would seem that it is acceptable to put rubbish parts on a car and then say they're not under the warranty so they don't have to do anything about it.
What's most practical about your car?
Leg room.
Favourite gadget, option or accessory?
Cruise control.
