The Octavia 5E makes a good family car but be careful with engines and options. The 1.0TSI is OK but the 1.4's additional power and torque make it a more useable daily in a variety of environments. Be sure to opt for heated seats too as the leather can be very cold on a winter's morning, they are also rare.
