A good car around, spacious with lots of kit on SEL version. 1.4 petrol is an excellent engine, relatively fast and frugal (easily achieves 50mpg plus on a run - although interestingly Octavia's don't have the cylinder deactivation like the Golf, A3 and Leon). Usual skoda thoughtful touches, ice scraper in fuel cap,parking ticket holder in corner of drivers screen etc. Ride is a little crashy on poor surfaces plus there's a too much road noise. My previous Leon 1.4 FR ST actually had a better ride. Would recommend overall. Bought used at 3 years old, no issues so far.
