Skoda Octavia Estate (2013 - 2020) 1.6 TDI CR GreenLine III 5d Owner Review

In their own words
After having kids our Fabia became a bit small for us, so we upgraded to an Octavia Estate. I opted for the Greenline version in order to maximise efficiency and minimise emissions - I'm not a high-mileage driver but like to minimise my environmental impact, and I couldn't find a suitable hybrid at the time. I love the car - it has enough grunt when you need it, if you put it in Sport mode, and achieves some fantastic MPG figures. I'd say we get to the mid 60s comfortably and I regularly achieve 70+ MPG. My record is 84mpg on a long distance drive. As the standard 1.6TDI is under 100g/km CO2, this won't have been as popular as the Mk2 Greenline, but it's still worth considering because you really do achieve better MPG and the used prices are not too dissimilar. My main annoyance is that with all the VW emissions scandall fallout, the residuals have not been good. I am therefore likely to hand this back when my current PCP deal runs out and don't expect to be offered much to "trade in".
