Absoultely - the DSG, the mpg (45 on average and up to 75 if you are driving 50mph) and the general comfort.

Same again, with the higher equipment level that comes with the Octavia III (2013- ).

What was the dealer like?
Skoda Preston - fair enough, like most dealers. Not pushy, but not too keen to haggle either.

Driving it
What's it like to drive?
Nothing special, but surprisingly nippy for a 1.4L engine if you give it some throttle.
What's it like to park?
Very easy to park - would have been fine even without the rear parking assist.

Have you had any problems with the car?
Nothing.
What's most practical about your car?
The firm seats are great.
Favourite gadget, option or accessory?
The DSG gearbox is sensational - easily the best automatic I have ever used. It adapts to your driving and even engine-brakes on downhills. Combines perfectly with the cruise control as well.
