What does this car say about you?
That im someone doesn't care about badges and likes value for money.
What do your friends / family / neighbours think of the car?
They like the space inside but they think the dash is a bit plasticity, which it is but its quite well put together.
Would you buy this car again and why?
I would buy another Octavia, just one with a bit more power.
What are you likely to buy next?
Skoda octavia 1.8tsi or 20t vrs.

Did you get a good deal and why?
I believe so, ive owned it a few months now and im yet to find another one at this price with such low mileage , also i got a life time warranty with it though it only has a £200 claim limit for each claim (this wasnt explained to me at purchase by the dealer, always read the small print on the warranty's folks).
Is there any special reason why you bought this car?
Needed a cheaper car to run.

Nothing special and didnt explain the warranty restrictions.

Driving it
What's it like to drive?
The 1.6 fsi 115bhp is just about adequate i think the 1.8tsi would be better for a car of its size, my last car was a 2.8t v6 saab so obviously this is going to feel very slow in comparison,that said its by no means a dull drive due to the great handling and often puts a smile on my face on twisty roads, i get over 43mpg doing mainly back road driving but will get a little less if i go on the motorway due to the small engine and lack of a 6th gear.

Have you had any problems with the car?
Right engine mount was broken but was a an easy fix, parking sensors dont work in cold damp weather, they only work when its dry, replaced high level brake light.
What's most practical about your car?
The inside space is huge, loads of room for front passengers and rear. nice big boot, a few nice little cubby.holes to store things.
Favourite gadget, option or accessory?
Parking sensors (when they work) i only have the ambient so no climate control ,no cruse control and auto dimming rear view mirror :(. thought mine has elegance allows which look good.
