What does this car say about you?
That i car not what badge the car carries, its the car itself that matters.
What do your friends / family / neighbours think of the car?
People still look at the Skoda badge and think back to the cars they produced long ago, but once they have experienced the car, those doubts soon disperse and they realise that this is a damn good car.
Would you buy this car again and why?
Absolutely. this car has just gone and i am on the look out for another. Remember the golf advert where the cars felt, look and drove like a golf, well this is based on the golf and in my view for the money is better than the golf. So save yourselves hundreds and even thousands and buy one of these instead of a golf.

Did you get a good deal and why?
It was a very good deal. 55k and only 4800 three years ago was a bargain as i would pay 6k at a dealer.
Is there any special reason why you bought this car?
It was a good cheap car purchased at the auctions.

Driving it
What's it like to drive?
A very good drive, independent rear suspension gives the car surprisingly good feel through the corners. A very easy car to get comfortable in with adjustable steering wheel and seats. All in its a car that surprises a lot of people when they have been for a journey in it.
What's it like to park?
This is the down side, its a big car and thick pillars do not help so its not the easiest car to park. reversing sensors would help a great deal.

Living with it
Have you had any problems with the car?
Never broken down. th rear hubs needed replacing as this is a common failing on the octavia, . and the belt tensioner on the fan belt went, but apart from that it was serviced as long life and was a very good relaible car.
What's most practical about your car?
Rear space and the boot. the boot swallowed everything i could throw at it. no-one ever complained getting in the back of the skoda, it could handle 5 full size adults with ease.
Favourite gadget, option or accessory?
None really as it was a ambiabte model it had the climatic air con which was useful.
