Skoda Octavia Hatchback (2013 - 2020) 1.2 TSI SE 5d Owner Review

Bought this car after a lot of electronic problems with my previous, the reviews on this car swung my decision to buy it. So far I’ve been impressed with it. You wouldn’t think it was just a 1.2 engine, while it’s not going to win at santa pod, the power delivery is smooth and a reasonable pick up. Interior is better than expected and the multimedia display is functional and easy to operate. Seating is comfortable on a long drive and all controls are well laid out. The drive is smooth, little bit of road noise, but by no means excessive. some have said the suspension is too hard, I don’t think so, gives it a more stable feel. MPG wise going to and from work, is a mix of town country roads and dual carriageways, 15 miles there, I’m averaging around 42MPG. On a run, using cruise control and sticking to speed limits, I’m averaging about 52/53 MPG, which isn’t a million miles off the official figures
