Skoda Octavia Hatchback (2013 - 2020) S 1.0 TSI 115PS 5d Owner Review

What an amazing car the Skoda Octavia MK3 is!! I had a Mk2 before; this is a real step up in terms of quality. In my humble opinion the Skoda brand has now surpassed SEAT, and is biting at the heals of VW. My other ride is an Audi A3 Sportback - the Octavia isn't that far behind in all honesty. In terms of practicality it's second to none. Five adults can sit in comfort; the boot is absolutely enormous. Being the 'S' spec, you get just about enough toys (although the lack of rear electric windows is a tad annoying in the summer). The infotainment system is spot on - I love the Apple CarPlay feature. In terms of performance, the tiny 1.0 3-cylinder TSi is outstanding. It makes a great noise, and has more than enough go in it (it's no race car however). The fuel economy is very impressive: it's able to do 40mpg on the school run and anywhere between 50-60mpg on the motorway at the legal cruising speed. Having owned both VW Golf and Passat TDIs in the past, this petrol motor is every bit as economic as the diesel.
