Skoda Octavia Hatchback (2013 - 2020) SE L 1.5 TSI 150PS ACT 5d Owner Review

What could be a great car is let down by a very bad engine. The 1.5 TSI has been causing some problems not just myself, but from what I read, many owners. It has a problem pulling away smoothly, the car is very jerky in low gears and the cold weather seems to make the issue worse. I feel like a learner driver when the car kangaroos out of junction. Skoda (or should i say VW Group) have been very vague with it's customers. I, like many, was told there is no issue. Now, nearly 9 months on, they acknowledge there is a problem, but no timescale to fix. I have read from different sources it is also causing problems with Seat and VW cars. Shame really, the car has a comfortable driving position and extremely spacious. The dashboard is pleasing to the eye, with all the toys you come to expect. Once you get past the low speed issue, driving on motorways is a real joy.
