If you want a safe reliable big(ish) car with room for 5, thats also child friendly in the back, with a huge boot, and loads of smiles per mile then it's worth buying. The DSG 7 speed box is brilliant, I dont bother with the 'sport' setting as Normal is good enough, and the economy is great for us. It's basically a VW, and just as good as in the performance and economy stakes, as any of the other German makes. If the Skoda badge was a BMW or Merc badge they would be £10k more. It performs well, and you can easily achieve 47mpg round town, get it on the motorway and 60 mpg is only dependant on how heavy your foot is.
Theres a brilliant infotainment system, bluetooth,car play, and the sat nav are all excellent, the boot is massive and has a full size spare as requested.
We love the car and would recommend it to anyone, especially with the 2.0tdi and DSG auto.
How reliable do you find the car?
As reliable as any VW, the badge is just a badge.No problems at all. Everything is within reach, its comfortable and easy to drive.Does the car do everything you expected it to do?
We wanted a comfortable car with 5 doors a big boot with motorway speed comfort for the odd drive over the pennines to visit relatives every few weeks, and it ticks all the boxes. It's a pretty big car but so easy to judge where the corners are, reversing is a doddle with the reversing bleepers. Automatic lights are great, auto box is brilliant and very responsive, it does have a Sport setting but is still ok keeping up with most in normal or economy settings. Everything is set out logically, and has a reassuring feel to it.About their car
