Summary
What does this car say about you?
German influences with a Czech twist. Basically an A4 Allroad for a LOT less money. Recognises that modern Skoda are a world away from Skodas of old.
What do your friends / family / neighbours think of the car?
They like it. Even more impressed when you start 'selling' it too them i.e. VRS engine, 4 wheel drive, good fuel economy, decent ground clearance.
Would you buy this car again and why?
Possibly - depends on the deal and what happens with this one.
What are you likely to buy next?
Too soon to tell.
-
Buying experience
Type of dealer you bought from?
Franchised
Did you buy this car new?
No
What price did you pay?
£24,000
When did you buy the car?
June 2015
Did you get a good deal and why?
Bought a 3 month ex-demo with just under 5,000 miles on. Lots of extra kit fitted (winter pack, bi-xenon AFS lights, upgraded alloys). Decent saving off brand new list price.
Is there any special reason why you bought this car?
Wanted a reliable 4x4 estate with good ground clearance and decent power.
What was the dealer like?
Ok - friendly enough, but car was not valeted before collection (as promised), no movement on final price what-so-ever, rubbish price offered for part-ex, very poor finance offering. A free tank of fuel would have been appreciated.

Driving it
What's it like to drive?
Good - DSG box isn't perfect but makes for a relaxing drive. Plenty of power from 184ps engine (taken from VRS I believe!) delivered through 4 wheels.
What's it like to park?
Easy - made even easier by rear sensors.
-
Living with it
Have you had any problems with the car?
Not yet.
What's most practical about your car?
Good ground clearance, decent boot, 4x4 works in the background to give grip when needed.
Favourite gadget, option or accessory?
Heated seats & front screen, bi-xenon AFS lights bend round corner.
