I am intending to keep this car for a long time. I purchased the car from a Skoda dealer, it had Skoda service history and I am continuing this. The car is very roomy, the boot massive and overall it's very comfortable. Do shop around if you are buying a VRS. I wanted to avoid one that had been modified. They seem to hold their value well. My car is a manual as I was unsure about the DSG gearbox.
How reliable do you find the car?
I purchased the car from a Skoda Main Dealer. Aircon didn't work on collection but the dealer replaced the air conditioning pump without hesitation. The rear brakes were also squeaking, they ended up replacing rear discs and callipers as well, again without hesitation and they were full of apologies that the car should not have left their premises with these faults. Other than that I have used my local Skoda main dealer for servicing. Very happy with the good service I have had from Skoda.Does the car do everything you expected it to do?
Really impressed. This is my first Skoda, but I have friends who have covered vast mileages in Octavia's with no issues hence my purchase. I'm also very impressed with the performance - it has surprised people - and other drivers. On long runs I regularly see in excess of 60mpg. I have also been very happy using my Skoda main dealer who is very competitive on servicing costs. Genuine parts can be a little more costly.About their car
