Summary
What does this car say about you?
I like a practical but slightly nippy car and not bottom of the range cars.
What do your friends / family / neighbours think of the car?
Until tyre change my wife and daughter were not keen on ride as so harsh. Neighbours love the colour.
Would you buy this car again and why?
I will look at the new vRS when it comes out in September but looks like Skoda prices are increasing.
What are you likely to buy next?
Volvo possibly or another VW Group car.

Did you get a good deal and why?
The deal was OK on a new car but part-ex was weak.
Is there any special reason why you bought this car?
What was the dealer like?
It was not a pleasurable experience as all the dealer wanted to do was sell finance to me plus alloy wheel insurance plus gap insurance. When I told them I did not want any of it the salesman told me that my part-ex had damage on the alloys so I needed the insurance. I told them that the damage was on the wheels when I bought the car at one year old. I would have walked away but at the time there were very few facelift vRS models on the market so I had to stick with it. I think buying cars these days is about the package they can sell you. If there had not been a 5 month wait for a new one I would have used a broker and sold my old car privately.

Driving it
What's it like to drive?
Very responsive, great feel through steering. Ride is very firm but replacing tyres for Goodyear Asymmetric 2 made a big improvement.
What's it like to park?
Fine as has rear sensors.

Living with it
Have you had any problems with the car?
Very good, only a creak behind the dash plus badges on boot went mill looking as did the centre caps on wheels.
What's most practical about your car?
Boot huge plus overall fuel economy very good.

Xenon headlights
