Summary
What does this car say about you?
That you like VAG build quality without paying Audi or VW price. My wife said its like a wolf in sheeps clothing, which sums it up perfectly!
What do your friends / family / neighbours think of the car?
When you tell friends/family its a Skoda you get the ususal reaction, until they see it, then their perception of the badge soon changes!
Would you buy this car again and why?
Absolutley, best car I have ever owned.
What are you likely to buy next?
Another Skoda VRS diesel in approx 3 years. By then the new model should be out.

Buying experience
Type of dealer you bought from?
Franchise
Did you buy this car new?
No
What price did you pay?
£13,995
When did you buy the car?
March 2008
Did you get a good deal and why?
Free car tax, and new tyres, but the car was already the cheapest in the area so I couldnt really haggle any more.
Is there any special reason why you bought this car?
Incredible value for money for the amount of performance, kit and praticality.
What was the dealer like?
Yes the dealer was excellent, the sales guy just let the car sell itself, and answered any queries without being at all pushy. I went to BMW, MB, Audi and VW all of which left you feeling harrased and pressurised.

Driving it
What's it like to drive?
A bit slow off the mark in 1st, then the turbo kicks in @1500 rpm and whoosh your off. 2nd, 3rd and 4th gears have awesome torque, blows any boy racer off the road.
What's it like to park?
Easy with parking sensors, good visibility, front easy to judge.
-
Living with it
Have you had any problems with the car?
Nothing yet, done 6k in 2 months.
What's most practical about your car?
Boot space is vast, easy to fold seats down and has isofix.
Favourite gadget, option or accessory?
Parking sensors are a must on this car as it is long. The 18" alloys fill the arches superbly which must be worth the extra if buying from new.
