They all love it - it looks great, drives great and has plenty of room for all our stuff.

Would you buy this car again and why?

Definitely - I have owned a number of performance orientated cars and the Octavia vRS is by far the best. Hugely practical for the family whilst performant and fun enough for me to enjoy.

Did you get a good deal and why?

I bought the car via an internet broker (CarFile). No Scottish dealer could even get close to the brokers price (at least £1000 more expensive) so I opted for a broker. Despite having to travel to Birmingham to collect it I was more than happy with the service provided.

Is there any special reason why you bought this car?

I needed a car with a big boot and with enough room in it for 2 growing children. Having owned numerous saloons I decided to opt for a hatchback - the Octavia has a massive boot and has plenty of rear leg and headroom for my children. I was bit concerned regards the 'badge' but having looked at a few, read numerous reviews I left my prejudices at home and so very glad that I did! Got a fantastic deal through a broker and saved myself a small fortune.

What was the dealer like?

Firstly the broker was fantastic - totally painless and easy way to do business. The dealer was equally good - as this was the first time I had bought in this way I was a bit nervous. The dealer was great, kept me fully informed throughout the process and provided regular updates throughout the build process - the salesman even collected me from Birmingham airport.

What's it like to drive?

Great to drive, very fast and stable. Considering the performance it is remarkably economical - on a motorway run 40+ mpg is easily achievable. I usually get ~32 mpg. It can be an effortless cruiser a total hooligan dependent on your mood.

What's it like to park?

I opted for the optional rear parking sensors which ease parking. It is quite a large car but there is good all round visibility. I have read some criticism of the large door mirrors but personally I think they are great - you get really good visibility from them.

Have you had any problems with the car?

Absolutely nothing.

What's most practical about your car?

The huge boot and interior space.

Favourite gadget, option or accessory?

Love the Auto / Tunnel light function.
