Want to know everything there is to know about this car?

In their own words

I had to have the IV model of the VRS due to company car tax the car looks good and is comfortable to drive the VRS seats are great its quiet on the motorway etc but the infotainment is a huge let down its been in to the dealer 4 / 5 times with issues the screen goes blank to losing all the presets , freezes it drives me mad.
It also defaults to electric mode and every time you drive the car you have to touch a button select hybrid mode and turn off the lane assist which try's to put you in a ditch if not turned off this gets tiresome it really should default to hybrid mode and you select electric if required.
Charging the car on the home wall charger take about 3 hours and 13 pin takes about 5 hours and gives you a max 25 miles when it was new i got about 30 mile range when running the car in Hybrid mode it will do about 78mpg until the electric runs out and then you get about 45mpg subject to how you drive by the time you pay 36 pence per KW hour x 13KW = £4.68 to do 25mpg your better off just running it in petrol £1.42 current price x 4.5 £6.39 to do 45 -50 mpg more if you drive like Ms daisy.
I find it doesn't know which gear or hybrid mode to select some times if its in electric mode in town and you go to pull out of a roundabout or side road put your foot down it then hesitates from electric to starting the engine it gets itself in a twist and if you put your foot down hard it spins the wheels and has terrible torque steer to much power through the front wheels I have had many performance cars as this is far the worst I've driven for torque steer. During my dealer visits I have had courtesy cars i.e. Karoq 2.0 tdi Se and drove superbly far better than the IV Octavia. The brakes are rubbish but I think this is a hybrid issue you have to push very hard to get anything from them when I drive my wife's Audi or daughters Fiesta I almost go through the windscreen when touching the brake for the first time everyone who drives it says the brake are terrible.
Summery.
I have driven this for 18 months and just over 30k miles and it is a good looking car goes well when fully charged ok and when not but its only a 1.4 engine let down by the infotainment system and having to change the modes every time you drive it just frustrates me. I have to have this car for 4 years and cant wait for it to go back roll on 2026.
If you want one either buy the 2.0lt TFSI or the diesel stay way from the hybrid unless its a company car and tax reasons just remember that infotainment will drive you crazy.
Bring back my BMW 330d M sport or Audi's sorry Skoda but I wont be coming back in a rush I will buy my own older car and not have the dings and dongs and warning lghts on the dash.
