What does this car say about you?
Not a lot probably.
What do your friends / family / neighbours think of the car?
Impressed with the interior. The jury is still out on the exterior styling.

Probably a newer model of this in a few years time.

Buying experience
Type of dealer you bought from?
Independent
Did you buy this car new?
No
What price did you pay?
£8,000
When did you buy the car?
April 2009
Did you get a good deal and why?
Paying £4000 less than a new one for a ten month old car with 2000 miles on the clock was a bargain to me.
Is there any special reason why you bought this car?
For the interior space available in a small car package.
What was the dealer like?
Bought from The Car People and found it an easy process that wasn't too time consuming.

Driving it
What's it like to drive?
The 1.4 TDI engine is an excellent compromise of frugality and performance. With a fully loaded car it still performs adequately and there is enough urge for overtaking. The ride is fairly good with good bump absorption but a bit more body role than I got from my previous Fiesta. The seats don't hold you in position when cornering with a bit of spirit so the body roll feels worse than it is due to the driver rolling in the seat.
What's it like to park?
Easy once you get used to where the bonnet ends as you can't see it from the drivers seat. Reversing is a doddle due to excellent vision and a fairly flat rear end.

Living with it
Have you had any problems with the car?
No.
What's most practical about your car?
The interior seating flexibility that allows for a combination of luggage and passengers. For example, it will seat three adults and with the centre rear seat and one other removed, still has plenty of space to fit three sets of fishing tackle.
Favourite gadget, option or accessory?
Removeable seats.
