Summary
What does this car say about you?
Middle aged. Married. Mortgage.
What do your friends / family / neighbours think of the car?
Generally very positive, though some 4x4 and sports car enthusiasts say it's not terribly good-looking.
Would you buy this car again and why?
Absolutely - it fulfills all our requirements from a car.
What are you likely to buy next?
Next will be the 2nd car - probably a Hyundai i10 - the 1.2 version.

Buying experience
Type of dealer you bought from?
Franchise
Did you buy this car new?
Yes
What price did you pay?
£12,000
When did you buy the car?
April 2008
Did you get a good deal and why?
The deal was reasonable - the internet is a great help here. Dealers would still rather shift units from their forecourt than see business go to an anonymous website that delivers the car to your door.
Is there any special reason why you bought this car?
Following Toyota's discontinuation of the Yaris Verso, we needed a similarly economical & practical car for lugging 2 dogs and 3 peoples-worth of luggage on holidays & back & forth to university etc.
What was the dealer like?
Very helpful and accomodating

Driving it
What's it like to drive?
Not the most involving car by any means, but has all the oomph you might need even with a full load. My only beef is with the driving position. My wife and I can both use the car as the driver's seat is set at the moment, but I do find my left knee is hard up against the middle of the fascia, and it's pretty unforgiving.
What's it like to park?
I can't park anyway. The wife says it's very good. Sorry, fellas.

Living with it
Have you had any problems with the car?
Nothing at all
What's most practical about your car?
The space and the variety of seating/storage options.
Favourite gadget, option or accessory?
Has to be the stereo aux input - all my favourite tracks from my MP3 without having to mess around with CDs
