Summary
What does this car say about you?
People generally have the wrong perception about this marque. I like to think it says that I am not afraid to make an informed decision about my car buying, although others may say that its a poor mans executive saloon
What do your friends / family / neighbours think of the car?
Family love it, have had remarks that it is more comfortable than friends Jaguars, people generally comment on the quality feel and excellent space and ride
Would you buy this car again and why?
definately, i would put it against any premium German saloon of the same capacity, it makes you feel a little smug that you effectively have an A6 for £10K less
What are you likely to buy next?
too early to say at the moment, but likely to be another one of these
-
Buying experience

£0
When did you buy the car?
April 2011

The car is a company car, so i only chose the dealer and was not involved in the sale
Is there any special reason why you bought this car?
size, comfort and amount of standard equipment, competent motorway cruiser
What was the dealer like?
Generally very helpful, even let me have a test car for the weekend

Driving it
What's it like to drive?
very comfortable, grips well and rolls little for such a large vehicle, not the fastest thing away from the lights but thats missing the point, it cruises marvellously, and is as competent as cars costing many thousands more. the steering has good feel and the car always feels very safe.
What's it like to park?
with the additional front sensors its not as difficult as you would think, the central display alerts you to objects that are close and not visible from the driving seat,
-
Living with it
Have you had any problems with the car?
No nothing in the first 2000 miles, a complete joy to drive
What's most practical about your car?
the boot area is enormous, as is the overall interior space, the twin boot hatch is usefull, generally it all apears to be well thought out
Favourite gadget, option or accessory?
The standard satnav is excellent, and intuitive, the Xenon headlights are very powerful, and they are adaptive so great for driving through the countryside at night. Front and rear parking sensors are a must for such a large vehicle, which enable it to get into tight parking spaces.
