Skoda Superb Hatchback (2008 - 2015) 3.6 V6 Elegance 4X4 (07/13-) 5d DSG Owner Review
Want to know everything there is to know about this car?
In their own words
This is, to say the least, a niche car in V6 spec. Unless you have a very healthy bank balance and a willingness to fund the Exchequer at every opportunity then daily use is probably not a realistic proposition. However, if used at weekends and on the odd occasion when a diesel-powered commuterbox just doesn’t appeal its an absolute riot. Truly a wolf in sheep’s clothing, it’ll surprise the majority of your fellow road users with its ability to hitch up its skirts and head for the horizon at a pretty indecent rate (Officer). It’s practical, loaded to the gunwhales with kit, comfortable, and, equipped with the standard Haldex 4x4 system utterly sure-footed.
Frugal it ain’t but satisfying to own? Absolutely.
Tip - find a good VAG specialist to look after it, keep the miles down and ownership needn’t be catastrophically expensive. (Facelift examples are ‘only’ £315 per annum in road tax as opposed to north of £500 for the earlier models).
