What does this car say about you?

I can see through the badge snobbery and drive an outstanding underrated car? Or that I bought a Passat/A6's cheap cousin.

What do your friends / family / neighbours think of the car?

They love the space in the back.

Would you buy this car again and why?

Wish they did an estate in this year but it's only the new Superb with that body style.

Did you get a good deal and why?

Jury's out on that one.... Seemed very cheap, only after buying it did I find out it had had 8 owners and the computer had missing pixels on the display. Dealer response was 'You knew that, that's why it was priced so low'.

Is there any special reason why you bought this car?

Size, best value for money - nothing else had same spec for the price bracket.

What was the dealer like?

Ok but wouldn't use again.

What's it like to drive?

Surprisingly good. Quiet nimble for a big car. Turbo engine had enough low down grunt to make driving a pleasure. Can be reasonably quick if pushed. Really needs a 6th gear for motorway work. Averaged 28mpg around town, 34 on a run.

What's it like to park?

Not that easy. Saloon body means you need rear parking sensors. Being the 1st generation Superb means they will go faulty all the time!!!

Have you had any problems with the car?

Piece of trim came off passenger door. New piece from Ebay required.

What's most practical about your car?

Sheer size. Rear seat passengers have loads of leg room. Boot is cavernous. Held family of 4's luggage easily during a 2 week driving trip to France.

Favourite gadget, option or accessory?

Retrofitted the Skoda satnav myself. Wish I had just bought a Tom-Tom. Painfully slow to respond and only 4 digit postcode search! Looked good in dash though.
