-
Economy
Value
Excellent value when compared to price of an A6 or Passat.
Costs
Had the car three years and worth about £7500 so depreciation is biggest cost as usual.
-
On the road
Driving
If you accept the car is not a sports car then offers relaxed drive, especially on the motorway. I went for the manual but think the car is better suited to an auto gearbox.
Performance
Once on boost the car picks up very well but those behind you won't appreciate the clouds of black smoke they find themselves in.

Living with it
Reliability
In three years, diesel leak from engine bay, misted up headlight and boot lid very stiff and noisy despite dealer having a number of goes to fix it.
Image
If your an estate agent and tie your tie with an overly large Windsor knot you'll hate it but if you are interested in good value, well engineered products you'll love it.
Comfort
Huge amounts of space in the back so no chance of reaching your coat or briefcase on the back seat.

Security and Service
Security
Had no problems in three years.
Service
Not a huge amount of dealers about so they do get quite busy but on the whole generally OK.

Diesel leak from engine - sorted under warranty.
