In the depths of winter where its been very cold and the car is used a lot when its dark, its range has been 60 plus, as you will use the heating and lights more, its also garaged overnight. Maximum range quoted is 84 for this model and I can see it easily achieving high 70's on a full charge when we get lighter mornings and evenings. This car is perfect if just running about locally (Care Support worker) or on journeys where you can get to and from somewhere that's not more than a 50 mile round trip in winter, so that range anxiety doesn't kick in! We are in a semi rural location in Cumbria and so charge points are not that widespread yet. Car size and turning circle fabulous for our small roads and you can fit in parking spots that others cant, so easily. We have charged whilst out and about and its relatively quick on a standard charge point and very easy too use. We have a 7.2kwh at home and a couple of hours gives you 80% as its only a small battery (hence range), this model can take a faster charge too. Very comfortable car and easy to use, solid build, no rattles and squeaks, materials used internally are good quality, good space internally and visibility is good from being sat not to high and not to low, just ideal. Boot will take a decent shopping trip for 2 people of approx. 4 full bags for life! You just have to think about what you are doing and your journey needs more than jumping in a car with an engine. Speed and acceleration was a pleasant surprise as pulls great up hills and fast away from lights and junctions, also sits nicely at cruising speeds of 60/70 on your 'A' roads. Using Eco mode (press of a button) gives you the battery regeneration on braking and does top up your miles of range when out and about which is a little more reassuring when you go into the grey zone (20% left on Battery) on the dials, which are clear and easy to understand. We find Eco mode doesn't hamper your acceleration speed markedly if driving about normally and we drive in Eco all the time. This mode slows you down (brakes) automatically when you lift off the accelerator like regular 'engine' braking and its smooth, so you can just use the brake pedal obviously if you need to pull up quicker. One pedal driving is good fun and obviously so quiet and if you are old enough to remember the cars in 'Logans Run' then you get a similar 'hum' as you accelerate/decelerate which is quite exciting in a sci-fi way if you are not a petrol head! A great car for city life but also suits our semi-rural circumstances, you just need to think carefully about what you need your EV to do. We have an engine car for longer journeys!
